Meetup Community Rules

Meetup is for adults (18+) who want to meet fellow travellers as friends. Breaking these rules can get you warned, muted, suspended or permanently banned, and may be reported to the police.

Not allowed:

1. Sexual messages, sexual requests or sexual content of any kind.

2. Offering, asking for or arranging sex work, escort services, "paid company" or massages for money.

3. Harassment, insults, bullying, threats, or pressuring anyone to meet.

4. Hate speech about religion, caste, race, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality.

5. Asking for money, loans, bank details, passwords or login codes. Selling anything.

6. Drugs, weapons or any illegal activity.

7. Fake profiles, pretending to be someone else, or lying about your age.

8. Sharing another person's private details, photos or location without their consent.

9. Posting phone numbers, emails or links in chat (use the "WhatsApp swap" button instead).

10. Anyone under 18. Any content that sexualises or harms a child is reported to the authorities immediately.

How we enforce:

- Messages are screened automatically before delivery. Blocked messages are never delivered.

- 1st blocked message: warning. 3 in 7 days: 24-hour mute. 6 in 30 days, or any serious offence (sexual content, solicitation, threats): suspension pending review. Confirmed serious offence: permanent ban.

- Use "Block" and "Report" on any profile or chat. Reports are reviewed by a person.
